About
Susan Ramon was a Disc Jockey in the mid 80’s with Jackie McCoy (in St. Louis) and left radio to pursue her career in the horse business. Her career was very successful and won many professional shows including the World Championship in 1986 with her Paso Fino, Don Ramon. Don Ramon is now 27 years old and resides with Jackie in St. Louis, living a quiet life.
Jackie and Susan launched Whats Happening Brevard April 18, 2005. After 2 fast paced years of live events and numerous guests in the studio, both Jackie and Susan decided to
take some time off.
Susan was asked to relaunched Whats Happening Brevard in October 2007 and to continue
the succesful show that gained an international, cosmopolitan cult following since it began. With Jackie’s Blessing, Susan agreed and Whats Happening Brevard went “ON AIR” October 15th 2007
Favorite Authors:
Stephen King
Need I say WHY I love this author? I love to be SCARED!! Don’t forget to check under your bed before you go to sleep tonight.
James Herriot
This author takes you on his journey as a Veterinarian through the English countryside. He will capture your heart with his beloved and autobiographical books. They are bursting with warmth and laughter. You will fall totally under his spell.
Favorite Musician/Band:
Ian Anderson/Jethro Tull
I started listening to Jethro Tull when was 13 years old. They were the first rock concert I was allowed to attend at 16 years old. I’ve been to a lot of concerts in my day, Led Zep, ELP, ELO, Pink Floyd, Yes, BTO, Joe Cocker and so many more, but the theatrics and the dance of a Jethro Tull concert will never measure up to any. It’s a Shakespearian Play with a twist.
I’ve had the rare pleasure of interviewing Mr. Anderson and it was a personal as well as a professional treat.
Jethro Tull was also one of my Mothers favorite groups. A week before she passed on she watched a PBS special on Jethro Tull. She loved it.
Favorite Televison Show:
Criminal Minds
I love the true feeling of being on an investigation with this group of actors. The suspense is so thrilling. I look forward to every Wednesday evening.
There are many shows I watch through out the week, that I really enjoy, like all the CSI episodes, NCIS, Ghost Whisperer, Without A Trace, Two Men And A Boy, The Big Bang Theory, but my favorite is Criminal Minds.
I’ve become very bored with the Amazing Race and the Survivor series.
Favorite Movie:
This is a tough one.
I love Johnny Depp, so all the Pirates of the Caribbean movies are in the top 10. But I also am a huge fan of The Man From Snowy River, The Black Stallion series. I also love to be scared at the movies, so horror films are right up there also.
